Now I really know I'm crazy

Now I understand the reason I text so much, especially right before bed. It's to keep my myself from thinking to much. I don't know how but when I just let myself think I just start thinking about terrible things. Very Very terrible things. I'm not going to go into specifics here simply because these thoughts just bother me so much. It's not like I start thinking evil thoughts more like I start thinking about scary thoughts. Agh, This is hard to explain. But I didn't get to sleep until about 3 last night and had to start reading The Abarat to get my mind off of it, though it really didn't work because by that point I was falling asleep. I was too tired to stay awake. Man I hate how I stress myself out.

1. Ten-Pearl Jam
I remember this one most vividly because this was probably my mom's favorite album ever, I don't recall ever listening to anything more often then this when I was still in my car seat.


2. Live Through This-Hole
Now this is another one I remember constantly listening to in the car. It's filled with so much aggression I love it. Courtney Love may be crazy but this album is a classic in my book.


3. American Thighs-Veruca Salt
There are two particular song off this album that I just remember loving so much. Those two songs were Seether and Forsythia. I think I loved them cause they were so fantastically girly but still bad ass at the same time.


4. Flood-They Might Be Giants
My dad got me into this album, he'd constantly play it so I'd always have him set it up on our old computer so I could listen to it as I attempted to play minesweeper and various other games.


5. Core- Stone Temple Pilots
If you ask my mom she will tell you that one of her favorite memories of me is when i use to sing Wicked Garden in my car seat. Also for some reason when I think of Sex Type Thing I have a image of me watching Snow white at the movies in my head.


6. MTV Unplugged in New York- Nirvana
Though neither of my parents were very big Nirvana fans they always would play this album. It's a classic.

I need to read more

I realized this after watching an episode of Gilmore Girls. You know the one where Lorelai and Rory go to Harvard. In the specific scene that sparked this realization, Lorelai is telling Rory about Harvard's library and their massive amount of books. Then Rory starts freaking out because she calculated that she's probably only read about 300 books in her lifetime and just starts doing her typical Rory freakout.

I can't actually say how many books i've read, but i'm going to guess it's much less then 300. You know for a bookworm like myself I actually don't read that much. This saddens me because there are so many books out there that I want to read but just haven't come around to reading, some of which I actually own.

So now I'd like to start making a list of books I need to read.


1. Jurrassic Park (I've almost completed it just 100 more pages)
2. The Abarat (Natalie's been wanting me to read it for years)

I only have two for now but there are lots more.

Searching for Something New

So lately I've been really bored with my music. Probably because I haven't found anything new to listen to in like 6 months. I know new music is out there, I'm just not as "with-it" as I use to be. Probably because I no longer read any music magazines, go on myspace, listen to the radio, or actually pay any attention to recommendations.

It's really quite frustrating when you've heard everything in your itunes library 20 times over. The last new thing I added to my ipod was the entire Michael Jackson collection. That doesn't count!

Oh and I've tried every online music recommender under the sun. They aren't so helpful, especially since all they recommend is music I already have.

*When someone calls in the morning and says "hey can I come over?" and I agree. Then say "make sure you have pants on when I get there" and then you do and they never show up. First it's the mom not letting that person go, then they have car trouble and say "I have to wait for my dad to come home to help me fix it" and then a couple hours later you call them and they say "Oh my friend picked me up cause they were bored and I was bored..ok gotta go bye" and that's that. I really really hate that, I don't put pants on just for fun you know.

I need a job

Like seriously I don't want to be home on my ass all summer mooching off my friends just so we can hang out at the movies. I hate having to do that, I feel dirty afterwords. Hardly anyone is hiring now and those who are don't want me and this makes me sad.

Good news is I've registered for school and all that. I'm working on getting back on track. I think I've found a very good school and I'm happy Natalie is going back to school with me. It's always good to have a little support system.

Just Once

I finally did the college drinking thing (responsibly). I wont lie I had fun, finally opened up and let people really know what this Sophie is all about. Though I did it before the drinking took place so major brownie points for me.

I had a nice little conversation with Luciano, who lives across the hall from me. He asked me how I liked my first year at college and I was honest with him, it fucking sucked.

We are complete opposites, he spent the entire year surrounded with friends and I decided to go the way of the hermit and keep to myself. Though at times he admitted he would have liked to trade places just for a little bit cause he never had time to himself, while I would have liked to just be able to have a good time with someone.


It's kinda weird. But It was nice.

So I know I'm leaving Saturday, but I've finally, kinda made friends.

Jon + Kate= hate

So recently the news has been abuzzin' with rumors about The Gosselin family. You know that "lovable" family on Jon and Kate plus Eight. I'm not gonna lie whenever I see that this show is on I will stop and watch. Mainly because I like the turtle-looking kid with the glasses, Aiden.

Recently all the ragmags have been reporting that both Jon and Kate have been cheating on one another. Honestly I don't blame them one bit, I mean have you ever seen the show Kate is a straight out Bitch. She is the devil in the flesh.

Yeah ,yeah I know they have 8 kids and it's hard but If that one Mormon family with 18 kids can keep there shit together for their kids, they can at least pretend to.


I think that both of them are guilty of infidelity. The only victims here are the poor kids, hopefully they have no idea what's going on, cause if they did it would be heart-breaking.

P.S. Where's Aunt Jody?

I know this happened a couple of days ago

..But I'm still upset. Last Tuesday my school's cafeteria was holding this special event entitled Eggs After Dark. They hold it every semester during finals. and pretty much it's a free late night breakfast. Well while I was eating dinner they were setting up and the table I was sitting at was already set with goodies and everything. Now there was one thing that caught my eye, and that was a yellow stress ball that looked similar to the one below.


So I casually put it in my pocket and took it back to my room with me.

It was one of those stress balls filled with flour, which made it extra squishy and that made it extra fun.

Over the course of the next few days I was playing with that thing nonstop. It was just so damn entertaining to me, it was like crack in toy form.

And then the inevitable happened.



It exploded on me. And that made me very very sad.

So recently I rewatched an old episode of my old youtube show I made with my friends (see below).


Now I know it isn't that great..but I still see potential in this. I know we kinda gave up after the third episode but I think if we work hard enough and get a lot of people involved it can potentially be something great and entertaining. See what killed us in the first place was focusing on one topic, the dreaded Twilight.

Sure it was funny then but now it's too played out and frankly I'm tired of it. Now what I'm looking for is some suggestions on what we should do as well as contributors so if you want to be apart of it hit me up on myspace or something.

This is Ridiculous but

Today on facebook I was looking through my Uncle Chris's Photo album that he has set aside for my cousin matthew, that features him, his friends, and relatives. So I finally I come across this picture(see below).



And I sat at my computer for 10 whole minutes trying to figure out who the man in holding my little cousin was. I just knew that I knew him. Finally it hit me. The man in the above photograph is my Dad. Imagine how stupid I felt. But then again i haven't actual spent more then an hour in the same area with him since last june. So it's easy to forget. I haven't written a blog since monday...yeah..I know..I suck at this resolution but to be fair nothing really happened this week. Nothing at all. Boo... Well next week I'm coming home for spring break and I've been trying to find new music to put onto my ipod. This is a terrible day indeed I can already tell I'll be puking it out later tonight. Why is it always the peach cobbler? why? Maybe it's just that terrible everywhere. Peach Cobbler in theory sounds delicious, sadly it's anything but. My last run in with it was last summer during staff training at Camp Mariastella it took out have the staff including myself.

I forgot lent started. My apologies oh religious people, but I had a midterm to study for and Iit was super super hard. I was the last one in the room. I hate math. And to reward myself after I played my online bowling game for 3 hours, and watch !Three Amigos! again, an old favorite of mine. Who could not love to watch Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, and Martin Short at their very best, fighting the likes of the Infamous El Guapo, while not really having a clue what the hell is going on.

Guess what? I've launched my very own online store..well not really but it's close. A while back I was asked by mom to design some t-shirts for the Big Autism Walk that we do every year. This is something that means a lot to my family because my younger cousin Clara is Autistic. Well I got the design down and the products are up in an online store I created so anyone can by them 10% of the money from each item sold will go To Autism Speaks, a Non-profit organization that funds Autism research.

So today natalie and I were driving around looking for mexican food. This is when I said hey we should go down this road cause I know exactly where I'm going (i really didn't) Luckily we had a navigator and it lead us out of that weird pass. That is when we realized we went back in time 5 minutes and ended up where we had came from. It was strange there were weird lights everywhere.

and we googled it after we got back and apparently there was no way we could have gone the way we did.

Starting off on a serious note

I found a lump in my breast, but I'm kind of reluctant about going to get it checked out..I don't like doctors, and being felt up. It feels funny to me.


well anyways, Natalie's coming up for a visit tomorrow, and that makes me happy. I'm literally exploding with hapiness, well not literally, i'm still kinda down but it's because of the weather.


Well it will be a fun filled weekend.

So today I only made it to one class, math..boring as per usual. Also I find it terrible that I get jealous of my best friend's boyfriend and conspire against him because I feel like he's taking my time spent texting or talking to her away from me. But I try and I try to like him, I did at first cause I didn't see him as threat, well now I do. Though I know I'm the more favored and whatnot..still I have my insecurities that I need to get over. Besides I think she'd feel the same way if the situation was reversed.

Also I know I should feel bad for making her come up Valentines day and ruining whatever plans he had with her, though we made these plans before they started dating, but I don't feel the least bit terrible about it in fact I feel better that i did it. He doesn't know it but I'm helping him not look like an idiot and just ruining everything all together.

oh and I played sims and it was awesome.

An apology

I have lied to you and for that I feel terrible. In my last post I promised 2 posts for that day, but instead I just did one and completely skipped yesterday. So now I plan to incorporate all three into this one post.


Saturday


Well on Saturday I went shopping for shoes for my brother, usually guys are easy to shop for but no every frickin' pair we looked at he thought something was off about them, we ended up going to 12 stores before we just gave up. After that we drove up to San Fransisco to meet my cousin for dinner. Now my cousin is pregnant, and for some reason I'm terrified of pregnancy and all things baby. But she forced me to touch her belly..it felt weird...I don't want a baby now. Well after our hour long drive to San Jose we decided we would get some dessert at Wendy's and That's when I came across this in the drive through.


That's right Mr. Pibb is really Dr. Pepper in disguise.


Sunday

So my mom and I met my aunt for brunch. It was yummy I had eggs Benedict with crab. Yum :). I just listen to my mom and my aunt talk about their ex-husbands(my dad). Then we had to take Calvin home to the tree house in Aptos. I bought some honey at the local coffee shop it's tasty. Then I went for Linner (lunch and dinner) with my mom and her boyfriend and had Pacific Grove's best Clam Chowder. All I can say is I've been sick to my stomach ever since.


Monday

Today I mostly played sims and lied about being sick to get out of class, I've been lazy lately. Also I'm mad Gossip Girl wasn't on tonight. That makes me sad. I just kinda laid in bed all day on my computer. Also I used head and shoulders this morning when I took a shower and my hair feels super soft now. I like it. But yeah that's it...boo

blog for 2/6/09

So yesterday I was unable to blog...so today I'm doing two so look out for that.


Well yesterday I had to wake up at the very break of dawn so my aunt could make her flight to LA. It was terrible. So when i got my other aunt's house in Santa Clara I passed out. Then after my much needed rest I proceeded to watch my cousin pack up my aunt's dishes as I played sims. Now when i play sims..I really play sims. meaning non-stop. It was crazy my sim Ol Brand is pimp...already has 10 lays and one baby..crazy.

Then my aunt told me about the great chorizo story. My other aunt, the crazy one, is pissed off at their hometown for putting a plaque up for her cousin, saying it's his birthplace (he's a big writer there), instead of acknowledging the house as the birthplace of our famous chorizo that the Gonzalez family stole. yeah she's crazy.

So..

As I was packing up to leave my writing class today my teacher stopped us to make an announcement. Now this was coming out of nowhere. She said That this semester we were going to be seeing a lot of changes in her.. meaning she's started the process of becoming a man. So now Ms. Angelic Cricchio Is Mr. Axil Cricchio. Great way to end class with a bang.

oh and also...my money is gone now my mommy stole it from my account...boo I'm still going to invest in some rain boots though.



Well off to Aptos I go.

That's what I got!

I got my refund check from the school today and I must say this is the biggest amount of money on a check that I have ever physically seen or held.

It was quite an adventure going downtown to cash that darn check...well not really but it took like 2 hours. well the cashing took about 5 minutes but the entire time spent on the bus going there and coming back was about 2 hours.

So I went to the local bookstore that only sells used books.. it smelled like old people.




On the way back on the bus I came across this woman and her baby.


Now this woman freaked me out. This is because she looks exactly like my chracter in the story that Natalie and I have secretly been writing since we had the same math class back in 2006. but it's a secret shhh....

Yo hablo espanol

So this semester I'm talking beginners Spanish. I thought it'd be useful if I got a tutor. Well today was my first tutoring session and now I feel terrible. I feel like I'm wasting my tutor's time. He greeted me in Spanish and greeted him back in Spanish, apparently that impressive. So pretty much I did nothing and watched the other students do work and helped some of them.

My Day in Aptos

So Last night I slept over my Aunt's house, and Today I ran various errands with her. Did My Laundry. Got some groceries. Ate weird pita pizza. Oh yeah and did my mention my aunt lives in a tree house? Yes That's right a tree house.








Only downside is when I wake up in the morning and I breathe I can see my Breath. Not To mention I think the way she's living is Illegal and I'm pretty sure there's asbestos. Oh Well..

Movie day

So today I went to the movies and saw Inkheart. I know the reviews were terrible but I've wanted to see it for awhile. Well I have to say I did enjoy it, but I must warn this isn't a movie for just anyone, no not at all, it's more for the Megan O' Connells of the world. But again I don't recommend it for everyone. If you liked stardust you'll more then likely enjoy this movie.

Well on the van ride home I got to listen in on a conversation between the driver and some foreign exchange students from France. I really like their accents.

Then my aunt picked me up from school and took me to dinner and right now she's waiting in the car for me so I can go spend the night at her house and do laundry tomorrow.

I think I just might be getting sick. I do not like this feeling...not one bit.
I can feel my throat becoming sore and my ear getting that weird itch/pain. I hate being sick, It is the worse feeling in the world. Not to mention whenever I'm sick I feel gross, being all coughy and snotty, I hate being that one kid in class that gets everyone else sick. I blame the riding my bike in the rain!

HOMEWORK

So tomorrow I have two first drafts of one page summaries due in my writing class and a bit of math homework and you know me I get distracted a lot. Especially since I have to study in that mess down in the last blog. Well I decided that i'd finally put the new library across the street to use.

Now This thing is massive and is an architectural dream. Like it's so modern it's crazy. I am not kidding. Well for once I was finally able to concentrate and get my homework done and in record time. Normally it would have taken me a week to complete half the work I got done in that thing. But no I cracked out two full page summaries and 3 pages of math in 3 hours. I know a record fo' sho.


Now I am quite tired so this means it's time to get ready to go to sleep at 3 am.





p.s. Clint Eastwood donated the money for the library. Jealous I think so.

My room is a mess..eh

So last week, winter break ended and The spring semester began. So I packed all my bags and brought my things with me.. I'm still in the process of unpacking... and so my room looks like this.

I can't even imagine what the day I finally clean is going to be like.
